I’m a botanical illustrator and printmaker based in North Qld, creating detailed studies of tropical flora from the deck of my beautiful yacht. Living on the water keeps me closely connected to the rhythms of the sea and the vibrant ecosystems that surround me.
My work focuses on the quiet intricacies of plants – their structure, patterns and subtle shifts of colour – captured with both scientific accuracy and a deep sense of place. Working from a mobile studio encourages a slow, attentive practice. Each illustration is an invitation to pause, look closely, and appreciate the beauty of the natural world.
For most of the wet season (November-May) I pack my dog and my art supplies into my camper van and head south to more moderate climes. This gives me the opportunity to explore the temperate vegetation in the south east of this extraordinarily diverse country. I love my life!
